Microblading is a form of Permanent Cosmetics. Although it may not use coil, rotary, or digital machine, is still implanting pigments into the skin, therefore is form permanent cosmetic tattooing. Microblading is performed with a grouping or configuration of needles affixed to a handle to manually create strokes that resemble eyebrow hairs. Microblading works on a more superficial layer of the skin. It should barely touch the papillary layer, not like regular pmu that goes into the surface of the reticular layer. Because of this, Microblading DOES NOT LAST as long as regular tattooing. It’s meant to last between 6 months and 3 years depending on the skin and life style of each person.

Microblading & Permanent Cosmetics Contraindications
You know the state of your health better than anyone. If you have any medical issues that you feel might be a contraindication, then we suggest you get clearance from your doctor.
PREGNANT or NURSING: Although there are no medical evidence that tattooing would have any effect on an unborn child, we don’t know for sure. So we suggest you err on the side of caution and come back after the baby is born and you are no longer nursing. Patients who have epilepsy, diabetes (type 1), hemophilia or a heart disease of any kind should have a physicians approval prior to any tattooing procedure.
UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE
ON ACCUTANE, RETIN A: Topical steroids thin the skin. Depending on the stage your skin is at, it may be too fragile to undergo procedure. You should get clearance from your doctor before considering permanent make-up.
ON PRESCRIPTION STRENGTH MEDICATION OR TREATMENTS that affect the dermal layer of the skin can affect the permanent make-up.
ON ANTICOAGULATION: (blood thinners) long term use of asprin, ibuprofen and some herbs reduce clotting time resulting in increased bleeding and bruising, which will affect the implantation of pigment as well as increase the healing time.
HAVE AN AUTO-IMMUNE DISEASE: You should get clearance from your doctor before considering permanent make-up.
DIABETIC (type 1): If you are insulin dependent, you are not a candidate for permanent make-up. Healing could be compromised and take longer than average. Otherwise, if your doctor feels your condition is under control you may request a letter stating that you are able to undergo cosmetic tattooing.
HAVE GLAUCOMA: You may not have eyeliner. Increased intra ocular pressure combined with pressure placed on the eye to apply eyeliner could be damaging. It is important to have this condition under control and/or refer to your physician for further consent to the application of eyeliner.
BLOOD DISORDERS that affect clotting such as hemophillia, sickle cell anemia and platelet disorders could interfere with implantation of pigment, however it is possible to receive successful implantation of permanent cosmetics.
MITRAL VALVE PROLAPSE, ARTIFICIAL HEART VALVES, OR ARTIFICIAL JOINTS or any person that requires prophylactic antibiotics before dental or other procedures will need consult their physician for treatment prior to permanent make-up
HAVE ANY OTHER HEART CONDITIONS: Uncontrolled high blood pressure and poor general health would be special concern, you will need to see your physician and discuss the procedure to gain pre-approval.
HERPES SIMPLEX: People who get fever blisters and/or cold sores may experience an outbreak after procedures. It’s imperative that you discuss the procedure with your physician before the procedure and receive proper instructions how to prevent an outbreak post procedure. Most physicians will offer a prescription for Zovirax or Valtrex to take prior to and after procedure.
KELOID OR HYPERTHOPHIC SCARRING: Persons with tendencies for this type of scarring have the same risk with tattoo also. The risk is mainly in the torso area, however, we may decide to do a patch test to insure that you do not scar in this manor.
CHEMOTHERAPY & RADIATION: If you are going through Chemotherapy or Radiation you may not receive any semi permanent cosmetics. After you have received and completed all treatments you have to wait at least 1 year after treatments and get clearance from your doctor.
If there are any blemishes, pimples, active cold sores, irritation of the skin of any kind, moles or other skin imperfections in or around the area of the procedure, Glo360 will NOT be able to do the procedure until the blemish or area of concern is gone or the mole is removed and healed.
You must wait if you’ve recently had:
EYE SURGERY: If you have had Lasik, Cornea repair etc. you will need to wait at least 6 months before permanent makeup procedure on your eyes. SCARS from surgery or injury must be healed for at least one year prior to service.
You must be off Retin-A or Retinols 7 days prior to appointment and avoid or or around the area for 30 days after. If used before 30 days, it can cause the pigments to fade prematurely.
BOTOX & FILLERS: Must wait 3 weeks after receiving your injections.

Microblading Pre Procedure Information
All permanent cosmetic procedures are a multi-session process. You are required to come back for at least one touch-up visit before it can be determined that your work is complete. Touch-up visits are scheduled at 6-8 week intervals or longer. Be prepared for the initial color intensity of your procedure to be significantly sharper, brighter, or darker than what is expected for the final outcome. It will take time for this transition based upon how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates. While these tattooed colors may initially simulate the exact color and tone desired, they will not always remain a perfect match. Tattooed colors are constant, while your own skin color will vary depending on exposure to cold, heat, sun, and circulatory changes. For example, if your skin tans and you had a scar camouflage, your surrounding skin will become darker in appearance than the treated area. Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may swell slightly or redden, some clients feel it is best not to make any social plans for a day or two following any procedure. It is always best to avoid these procedures within months prior to important life events such as weddings. Procedures may take longer than expected to be complete under some circumstances.

- Wash your hands before touching any treated area. Cotton-tipped applicators may be used to gently cleanse the eye area. Do not expose the area to dirty or unsanitary conditions. Wearing glasses outdoors is a good way to protect new eyeliner from dust, ect.
- Some itching is normal. DO NOT PICK, PEEL, OR SCRATCH the treated area or your color may heal unevenly and you risk scarring and infection.
- No makeup is to be applied for 10 days after the procedure on the tattoo area. After any eyeliner procedure, use new mascara. Make sure to clean all makeup brushes as well. Do not use an eyelash curler for two weeks.
- Do not expose your healing skin to direct shower spray, skin creams, ointments, or lotions other than what you have been instructed to use for at least 10 days following your procedure.
- Do not expose your healing skin to direct sun, tanning beds, hot tubs (tub bath if body area treated), saunas, salt water, chlorinated pools, or extremely hot water for 2 weeks following your procedure.
NOTE
The outcome of permanent cosmetic procedures is dictated by the canvas (your skin). The better condition your skin is in, the better the final result will be. Very oily, dry, or sun damaged skin can be very difficult to achieve a beautiful even result. Mature clients may need an additional one to two weeks healing for the final results to appear. The better you take care of your skin and protect it from UV rays, the better the outcome and lifespan of the permanent cosmetics procedures.
